(2) Business Process

1.2.1 Brief Business Process:

Below Is A Summary Of Business Process:

(a) We Receive Sketch, Specification And Fabrication Details From The Buyer.

(b) Accordingly A Pilot Sample Is Made From Available Fabric.

(c) On Approval Of Initial Sample, The Final Sample Is Made From Actual Fabric.

(d) Accordingly On The Basis Of Final Sample A Price Indication Is Given To The Buyer.

(e) The Buyer (potential Foreign Buyers) Will Check If He/she Can Market The Product At That Price And The Factory (in Bangladesh) Should Also Check If The Indicated Price Is Acceptable To Them.

(f) Upon Completion Of Item (e), We Go For Final Order Quantity And Color Breakdown Etc. (to Be Confirmed By Buyer) And A L/c Is Produce In Our Favour And We Transfer The Same To The Factory Where From The Sample Was Made.

(g) At The Time Of Transfer We Put A Small Figure As Service Charges Keeping L/c Unit Value As It Is.

(h) On Receipt Of L/c, The Factory Goes For Procurement Of Yarn, Does The Knitting And Dyes The Fabric As Per Approved Lab Dip Color, Cuts The Fabric As Per Specification, Goes To The Sewing Section, Finishing Section And After The Final Inspection, The Product Is Packed In The Export Carton.

(i) From Yarn Up To Sealing Of The Carton, Our Quality Inspectors Monitor The Process Closely. At The Same Time We Process All Related Information What Is In Side The Carton And Transfer The Same To The Buyer Through Electronic Media Using The Format Provided By The Buyer.

(j) Export Documents Are Made By The Factory As Per L/c Instruction, Original Copy Goes To The Buyer’s Bank, A Copy Documents To The Buyer And Also To Us.

(k) On Receipt Of The Original Copy, The Buyer’s Bank Check With The Respective Client And Release The Payment. When The Factory Receives Payment, We Also Receive Our Service Charge.

(a) Color Bank:

As We Are Working With Our Buyer For More Than 4 Years, We Have Developed Color Bank For Each And We Understand Customer’s Business Requirements. Very Quickly We Can Go Into Fabrication And Color Selection, Resulting Faster Approval Of Lab Dip, Fabric, Pre-production Sample Etc. However, Different Customer Has Different (such As Wal-mart) And Very Strict Approval Process.

(b) Fast Processing

Look East Design Ltd. Is A Reputed Company Which Is Reflected In Yearly Turnover.
In Bangladesh, Except Few, Most Of The Factories Are Private Limited Company. The Owner Spend Most Of The Time In Bank, Sort Out Problem With Yarn, Dye, Trim Supplier And Also For Solving Administrative And Labor Problem. The Owner Cannot Give Much Time For The Production Process.

Here We (look East Design Ltd.) Play The Vital Role. We Work As If It Is Our Factory And Maintain Close Relation With Factory Floor Management. We Get Our Product Out From The Factory And Monitor Until These Are On Board At Chittagong Port. Throughout The Process We Strongly Avoid Late Shipment Which May Push For Air Freight.

(c) Business Relation, Competiveness And Growth

We Generally Keep Close Eye On China, Vietnam, Cambodia, Sri Lanka, Pakistan And India Who Constitute The Bulk Supply For Developed And Developing Countries. Of All The Above Countries Per Hour Pay Of Skilled / Semi-skilled And Unskilled Workers Pay Is Lowest In Bangladesh. Moreover We Maintain Highest Product Standard And On Time Shipment.

These Reasons Are Attracting International Buyers In Bangladesh. During Economic Meltdown In The World Economy, Especially In Usa And Europe, The Garment Export From Bangladesh Has Been Forecasted 23% Growth By The End Of 2009 From That Of 2008.
